With pancake day steadily approaching we have collated the best student recipes for you below. So totally an excuse to eat as many pancakes as you like without having to feel guilty on your purse and stomach!

So whether you like a plain pancake or a chocolate fiend and drizzle Nutella on then this is the perfect recipe…

Batter ingredients, for 10 large pancakes…

  • 110 grams of sifted plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml milk

 

  1. Mix it all together vigorously with a whisk and you’re sorted!
  2. Add a small amount of the butter straight to a hot pan with a little melted butter
  3. Pour a little batter evenly across the pan, and cook it until it darkens a little.
  4. Once one side is done, flip it (IF you can)and cook the other side.

 

The topping choices are endless; the world is your oyster, try lemon juice and a sprinkle of sugar, be adventurous and try a savoury topping such as cheese and ham.

Banana pancake ingredients, for 4 pancakes…

  • 1 Large Banana
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of Baking Powder

 

  1. In a bowl mash your banana until it becomes a puree consistency
  2. Stir in the egg and baking powder.
  3. Pour a little batter evenly across the pan, and cook it until it darkens a little.
  4. Once one side is done, flip it (IF you can) and cook the other side.

 

Again the toppings are endless but this recipe is perfect with some natural yogurt and a scatter of berries.
